Robotics Rules
TASK:
Design a bot that can run fast and overpower your opponent bot.
ARENA:
The arena is divided into two zones 1.Race zone and 2.War zone, as shown in figure.
RACE ZONE:
- The length of track of race zone is 3.5m and the width of the track is 40cm.
- The track consist of different types of hurdles like sand, small pebbles, large pebbles, Glass balls, concretes, fire etc. The size of pebbles may be up to 5cm.
- There are two inclined surfaces along the track, one is at the middle of the track and other is just before the war zone. The angle of inclination will be between 20 – 25 degrees. The inclined surfaces which are in the middle of the track have both up & down inclination and have a groove at the top of inclination.
WAR ZONE:
After completing the race zone the bot will enter into the war zone.
- The dimensions of war zone are 3m *2m *0.3m (length*width*height).
- There are two starting point for two different bot as indicated in figure.
- There are two pits in this zone, each of dimensions are 50cm*50cm*30cm (length*breadth*height) as shown in figure.
- There is a groove of dimension 100cm*7cm*15cm (length*width*height) lies at the middle of the war zone arena parallel to the breadth of arena. The groove may contain fire.

BOT SPECIFICATIONS:
- Bot should completely fit within the dimension of 30cm*30cm*30cm (length*breadth*height) at the beginning of the event. The external wire and remote control are not included in dimensions.
- Readymade car base and Lego kits are not allowed.
RULES & REGULATIONS:
- Each team can consist of a maximum of 4 members. The team members can be from different institutes or colleges.
- The teams have to start from the point indicated in figure.
- One team can take maximum of one restart. The team calling for further restarts will be penalized.
- There will be no time-out once the match starts. As any technical or mechanical fault will be a credit of the opponent. Hence no rectifications are allowed.
- The participating teams are required to bring their own extension cords and/or multipoint plugs. We will provide power supply of 220V AC, 50 Hz, single phase.
- The bot can use maximum of 24v d.c.
- Use of chemicals of any kind is not allowed.
- The bot must complete the race zone within the given time limit (max-5minutes), otherwise they will be disqualified from the event.
- There are two wooden box one each in front of the each pit in war zone, the bot which will 1st push the wooden box into the pit will be the winner the of race zone.
- After completing the race zone they entered into the war zone, there will be three rounds (maximum time of each round will be 1.5 minutes) in which one has to overpower the opponent bot.
- All the decisions of the event committee will be final.
SCORING RULES:
- Total point scored by one team = total point obtained in race zone + total point obtained in war zone.
- To get race zone point the team must has to win the race.
- Total point obtained in war zone = 100*(no. of times the bot push the opponent bot into the pit) + 50*(no. of times the bot push the opponent bot out of the war zone arena).
